PARTNERSHIPS & JOINT VENTURES

  • Going into a business partnership?
  • Buying shares in a private company?
  • Commencing a joint venture?

Doing business with others can be rewarding. It can also be essential to the success of a business venture of project. However, if partners’ expectations are unclear or inconsistent, there is likely to be trouble.

Partnership agreements, shareholder agreements and joint venture agreements provide substance to a business relationship and ensure that expectations are established and key risks are addressed.

Such risks include: a partner unexpectedly seeking to exit the partnership, failure of a partner to meet key responsibilities or milestones, conflicts of duty and diverging business goals.

For advice on any such agreements presented to you, or for the preparation of these  agreements, contact Joe Kafrouni on (07) 3354 8888 to discuss your opportunity and how our business lawyers can help.

Consultation

For new clients, I offer a paid initial phone consultation for $1,430 (incl. GST), which covers up to two hours of my time.

This option provides a relatively low-risk way for us to discuss your situation and explore how I may be able to help. I will provide initial advice and direction where possible. However, most matters require more than two hours to complete; if that’s the case, I’ll provide a follow-up proposal outlining how I'm able to help and an estimate of legal fees.

I set aside only a limited number of consultation times. If you can’t find a suitable time, or would like to clarify anything before booking, please get in touch — I’ll do my best to accommodate you.
